igoVPN works with PPTP. Your router should support pptp-passthrough to establish a connection.
If you are connected through a firewall, you have to open TCP port 1723.
Can I use Skype, ICQ, Email etc over VPN?
Yes - and your privacy is secured no matter whether you use Skype, ICQ or any other internet-based application!
Does igoVPN slow me down?
The speed is determined by many factors. We give you a highspeed connection, which will not create any bottleneck on your internet speed. Realistically you should expect some slightly slower connection (around 3%) due to the encryption of the data going to and from your computer!
Who can intercept my connection?
Nobody! Not even your ISP can record visible meaningful data because every package is encrypted.
Does it work on Mac too?
igoVPN works on every computer which allows VPN through PPTP. MacOS X supports VPN since 2003!
Can I run igoVPN from my laptop?
Of course! And you should! Nobody at the airport, hotel, wherever can intercept your safe wireless connection!
